Beasto Blanco gig was simply amazing. Its the first gig in a long time that i have been a little anxious. I ben mailed mike to say "I feel sick".

I turned up at the venue around 4.30 as i was hoping to set the band. I was greeted by some of the staff at banner mans bar who have to be the friendliest bunch of people in Edinburgh. My experience of Bar staff in Edinburgh hasn't been the best as Im pretty critical of customer service… why not! i want good service lol.

Christian Kimmett books the bands in Bannerman's and I'm so happy that there is someone in Edinburgh like him. He books act like Love Hate and all the other cross over hair metal bands… ohhh and he is a true Gent and gives the band beer! lol

I waited around for about 20 mins and then meet the manger who is Swiss. Swiss is that right? who knows! he was brilliant very friendly and shared a few stories of the road on how an Italian band tried to rip them off.  he said that the band would be happy to meet with us but he could guarantee it.. I felt a little like what i would imagine a one direction fan would feel… inside i went wooooooo!!!

I waited till around 5 isn then Marc and Joan Jett (Siobhan) came in. These guys are brilliant. They have supported the band since day one. Marc is always texting saying "do you breed a hand loading in?" he is such a good guitarist as well.. nice guy all round. His Girl Siobhan is excellent also, she really gets the piss taken out her by the band or should i say me and Chris.

It wasn't till around fish that we finally got in to the back room to sound check. Thats when we met Heff. I feel I'm pretty critical of the sound we get and the people that do it. The gear here was superb! i didn't expect that, Heff controlled everything from his phone and iPad.  He was spot on with everything i asked for and i couldn't have asked for anymore from him. he came very recommended from Chris that does our sound at the Dreadnought Rock.

Show time was 8.20, 30 mins slot. Boom… it was over like a flash… there is so many things that i could list that i wish went better so i decided to take three things away to work on.

1. Raise action on Bass
2. Pre plan your message to audience
3. know the wordssss eekkk!

The night was very very successful with mercy being sold, great feedback and great bands to watch afterwards.
