Second night of the tour and we are off to Inverness. Myself and Vikki left earlier than the boys and travelled up to the city of Inverness. The drive is long but it is amazing. The scenery is fantastic and it gets you right in the mood to pen some tasty lyrics... Non music related but Vikki was telling me every time Elvis comes on the radio the baby kicks... Is the king coming back? only 3 weeks to go....
Anyway tonights gig was at Mad hatters in Inverness we walked in and the band roadway were soundcheck and they sounded great. I met Bruce the sound engineer and he seemed like a real cool guy and that he knew what he was talking about. We had previously decided that we would share the back line which would make things easier. The gear was decent but I missed my big cab so i could feel the rumble under my feet.
It was looking like it was gonna be empty before we went on but as we stepped on stage the place got pretty busy and as we played our music it got even busier. The vocal sound on stage was brilliant. i was really pleased with the performance. Vocal i need to get fitter i need to start my vocal exercise techniques again and get my cardio up. There has been times where i have not anchored my self correctly and felt a little light headed. No excuses i know what i should do here.
Im very privileged that i have found two guys that support me in this album and the music i have written i hope it goes this well in the next set of songs as i really want top get moving with it. It is imperative that i feel they have my back so i can grow as a song writer, the confidence of having others support you makes me thrive and write with such abundance.
We sold a good few bits of mercy tonight which was fab, the trip has ben worth while and I'm hoping to get back up here soon.
