setting up a practice

21/3/2012

by watching videos and reading magazine on the how bands set up there practices the best advice has come from the slash book i have been reading...  Its effective its simple and information i have heard the SCE lectures talk about... THis is something we really could use more of to drill this in....

Its definetly more professional to come prepared and if possible chords sheets, lyrics and when running through the songs, break them up into sections and play them till they are right....

For example if the songs is simple form of intro, vs1 ch1, solo, v2, ch2, outro then you take these 6 sections and play them till  they are embedded and pick out the section that aint right and feedback on them to each other.. once you have the intro and vs down, you stick them together and then add the next section and play...

I have applied this approach in practice with SCE students and it is very effective.. the problem here is people not having patients, too many cooks, people not prepared.. however this will show you exactly whats needs to be done and SAVES TIME AND FRUSTRATION!!!!

I have seen this demonstrated in the videos that i have posted by Slash... they are winners
