Wasnt too sure what to expect from this gig when i seen the line up for the day... we were asked to arrive early to set up and play the first dance around 5pm and then play another song then wait till the next set... The day was running late so we didnt get the chance to go back on till the back of 6, played 4 songs at the groom request then helped the scottish music band set up, great guys.... they played an hour from around 8 till 9, we went back on for 45 mins, they went back on at 10 for 45 mins then us again! never came across this before and as you can imagine we had to set the gear up and take it down a few times.
However this is what the customer wanted and they were real nice folk so it was all good. It seems that over the last two weeks the wedding gigs have been in barns, is this the new thing? bails of hay, chickens and the odd cow passing the window... all great fun!
The stand out thing about this gig wasnt the music, even tho a good job was done. It was the band buffet! I always said to myself my gig review would be about the music but this buffet and the way it was set up for us was the dugs! very impressed with the efforts the customers went to... well done guys
