Having good fun in the latest installments of Music performance.

I am currently learning Sly and the Family Stones version of UNDERDOG.

When I first heard this I wasn’t sure of it... Listen to the vocal line it more like rapping... After a few try's im now really starting to enjoy it, and it actually is miles away from any type of wrapping... or is it rapping... lol, that reminds me I need to get the xmas shopping done.

Chris the drummer, 2nd year student, has orchestrated the group well. You can definitely see the difference in 2nd year students against DFM and 1st year. It great to learn from the experience, I suppose you could call it band practice etic ate!

In practice we have broken the song down right to the bones and built it up making use of dynamics and getting everyone to sign, which has given the practices more wheelie.

Jodi and myself haven’t been signing, as it seems the whole vocal class is down with the cold…

One person that has really impressed me is Jordan the keys player… that boys talents are excellent, his backing vocals are excellent…

We have put in extra practices this week at night going over the structure, ensuring everyone knows their part.

THE FEAR – Annette is looking for movement… this is out of my comfort zone. The rest of the guys are getting a good laugh at this, dancing isn’t one of my strengths. Except when iv e got the spandex on and wig for the schticks of rock band…

Saying this, No fear, il pull this right out the back…shake yer toosh as they say….
