Karma Rockets showcase review

Tuesday the 12th of Feb 2013 saw the Karma Rockets take the stage first at the Voodoo rooms for the Music For Scotland wedding showcase. We decided to do 4 songs, Superstition, next to me, one day like this and stay. I felt it went well, simon our dep bass guitarist did really well to stand in at short notice due to Oliver being away on holiday. The low B on the 5 string  bass really makes a difference.

The band played really well. Strong steady pace on the speed of the songs which we have been working on. The band has been putting a lot of rehearsals this year and its really paying off. There are so many bookings coming in that we are having to turn customers away because we are booked up.  I got the chance to speak to a couple of clients who were excellent. Some really great ideas out there for first dance. I love it when the ideas are a little out there.

Song of the night had to be stay. We got some video of it which was filmed in black and white which i think is excellent. Maria and jordan did a really good job of it.

The best band of the night for me was KICKBACK. Richard Jenkins and his band are brilliant. I was unsure if their comedy routine would get them the business they deserved however im glad to report they cleaned up and got lots. They had me in tears with their on stage chat then they blew me away with their playing, they really are a brilliant band.
