One thing I've missed since finishing Uni  last year is working toward my own goals and gaining the qualification to so the hard work that I've put in. I really want dos go on and study more  but towards song writing. I have been able to do so much over the last few years and dip my toe in all different parts of the music business. The one section that i enjoy the most is song writing.

I have seen a masters course which i have been looking at for a while now and you need a minimum you need 2:2 to gain access, which is no problem as i got a first class honours so I'm hoping that will help me in getting access to the expertise to learn more. This is something that i will be exploring over the next few months to see if it would be a reality or not.

Until then I've been doing more research on all the different types of songwriting. I have come across lots of different writers but one that seems to share a lot of informations Ralph Murphy. He wrote a book called The Murphy's law of songwriting.

The book has many chapters and gives the writers view on the craft of writing. I found that i have had to look into more about things such as pronouns, the need to capture imagination, the use of describing things different. This is a book that i feel i would always go back to for insperation. Well worth a read.

My big objective.

My big objective and personal goals for self study is to read a book a month. A book that i can get something and learn from towards my goals towards getting a masters in songwriting, at least thats the plan just now.
