Four Part Spread Voicing

I was lwarning about four part spread voicing today and had the idea it would go well with a track im working on. The idea of this basical is taking the root of the chord using the next note up which is a 7th or 10th and then including, if possible the 3rd or the 7th somewhere. I  tried a few options on this however i found that it doesnt work with all compositions, especial slow country. These type of songs seems to cry out from 1st 3rd and 5th.... the four part voicings seem to be for more up tempo jazzy compositions... good lesson learned here.

a few other options im looking at os

Rooted Voicings, 5 part, three plus one voicing, close block plus root and voice leading... these are all great tp play about with.
