It was just recently i got round to releasing my vocal work audio program i did in my 3rd degree project. At the time it was a major challenge to complete due to the amount of research and reworking of the content. There was also the matter of obtaining feedback and fixing any points that i hadn't considered.
I wrote the following album notes that explained directly what the program is.
I can remember the year but not the date. It was 1998 and a friend’s sister knew I was in a band and said that she would like to give me a cassette she had. The cassette turned out to be a singing practice cassette. I took this as a kind gesture and not the fact that I was that bad, or at least I hope this was the case.I can’t remember the name of it but it got worn out the amount of times it was played. It contained everything I would ever need to practice. It had warm ups and scales and it approached different types of exercises for different reasons to improve your singing.
This led me on to different cassettes and CD’s and one thing I found is that I was always practicing in the car. This was excellent for me. It was private; it wasn’t annoying neighbours, partners, mums or dads. I have found that through the many practice CD’s I have come across I have liked the majority and have used parts of each in my practice routine. This has led me to do research into producing my own practice CD in the hope that others can learn from the methods that has suited me best over the years.
