Today two great things happened in the progress of new EP. 1/ I saw the most amazing toilet ever.... he has a dinosaur in it! 2/ Ducks studio was very impressive.

I sent Duck four tracks to look over and think about what kind of bass lines could be put over them. I wanted an ambient sound with the upright bass. I was surprised at how warm it made the track, especially "feels like home". The bass line he came up with was superb...

CHALLENGES - upon moving on to the second track we kept getting a clicking noise. We check the source first of all then we checked the leads and we even moved on to the lights to see if it was them that was the problem... Nope couldn't find it.

We decided to move everything such as the Upright Bass and the laptop and sound card to the living room... it didn't disappear!!!! Thats when Duck went "awwwwwww F&@** Sa@£" it turned out the bass needed a new battery! we changed it over moved everything back and then it was away! That was a good hour missed because of something so simple! funny at the same time.

We did all the tracks today, Feels like home, The weight of these days, Hiding behind mountains and Quicksand. I was happy with them all except for The weight of these mountains, i think that needs electric bass as it needs to be more punchy... Il give it another listen in the morning, Duck is great to work with so easy going...
