For the last month of the year I was glad to start to calm things down as far as gigging goes. 2015 was such a busy year with original and cover gigs. Probably the most important gigs of them all was the end to the year working with Music in Hospitals. On the 16th of December I got the opportunity to do two xmas parties. Both gigs were at the Meadows hospital. It was a close call as i nearly had to pull out due to a sore hand but I'm glad to say i made it through them. The xmas parties are always difficult as you have to play xmas songs and so you only do these songs once a year, there isn't much call for silent night in July.
I promised myself id learn more songs for these gigs but the balance towards the end of the year has been difficult but its something i really am focussed on changing in 2016. 2016 is going to be all about doing the music i was to do and gigs that i feel are going are worth while. I wish i could give music in hospitals more time as the gigs are so rewarding, sadly the balance isn't in the favour of that just now.
As far as event gigs go there were a few in December but none more exciting than the new years gig. There were a few eps to say the least in the line up so that is always serve wracking. It turned out to be a great gig with the Kilted DJ looking after the sound and mining everything up. i love those gigs when there is someone else there that helps you.
